Our Stay at The Almanity Resort and Spa

Our experience at the Almanity Hoi An Resort and Spa was far beyond our expectations. The hotel is located about ten minutes away from the old town if walking, and free bicycle rentals are available to hotel guests.  We opted out of bike rentals as we were a bit nervous with the traffic in Hoi An, but if you are feeling brave go for it!

When we arrived at Almanity we were greeted by a warm and welcoming staff.  While checking in, we were offered delicious welcome drinks. When the drinks were initially set in front of us they were blue, but after the staff added another component to the drink they turned pink!

We were advised that our room was ready and that we would be staying in a Double My Mind Town View Room.  This room had a king sized bed, shower, air conditioning, TV, and a balcony overlooking the streets of Hoi An.  It was very clean and comfortable.

In addition to our room, our package included one spa journey per person per day at My Chi Spa.  The first day Jess had a body scrub, which was amazing and Steven had a bamboo massage, which was good and something different that he had never tried before.  The second day we both had the hot herbal compress massage, and we were able to have them together in a couples massage room.  The spa was very clean and the decor was reflective of the resort style and vietnamese style of the hotel as a whole.

The spa also offers three different yoga classes (body, mind and soul) in the morning starting at 7:00am and running until 8:30am.  We took advantage of the yoga class one morning and found that the facilities were beautiful.  This is the most incredible yoga studio.  It is an open air and very spacious.  There is an area with day beds to relax in as well as two platforms for yoga surrounding a central area with beautiful statues.  Additionally, there is a mediation pool and hot pool nearby.

The grounds of the hotel were well kept and the rooms were situated around a central courtyard where the pool was.  The pool had three different sections.  One smaller section, a larger section suitable for laps and an elevated pool that overflowed into the smaller pool.  We were lucky to be able to enjoy the grounds and relax for one day since we stayed two nights in Hoi An.

Overall, our experience at the Almanity Hoi An Resort and Spa was extremely relaxing and stress free.  Whenever we needed anything the staff was there to help us and we were very happy with our decision to stay here during our time in Hoi An.  The concierge was also very helpful in arranging transportation from the hotel to our next destination and also made sure we could stop at one of the world heritage sites to take in the view of Marble Mountain and the temples that are breathtaking.  If you are traveling to Hoi An, be sure to stay at the Almanity!!
